IRS Launches Compliance Check Questionnaire on Advance Refunding Issues

Tax Exempt Bonds ("TEB") has initiated a questionnaire project to evaluate the post-issuance compliance and record retention policies, procedures and practices of issuers and conduit borrowers of tax-exempt advance refunding bonds. TEB is sending out the questionnaire to 269 governmental entities that issued advance refunding bonds between July 1, 2009, and June 30, 2010, to refinance governmental bonds.   http://www.irs.gov/taxexemptbond/article/0,,id=239689,00.html

Some states cut unemployment benefits
